Head of Europe Department Meets Russian Ambassador to Baghdad

The Head of Europe Department Ambassador Ismail Shafiq Mohsen met with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Baghdad Mr. Maxim Maksimov at the Ministry headquarters.

During the meeting, they exchanged views on regional and international issues of interest to both sides, as well as preparations for the visit of official delegations to the two countries, including the visit of the Russian Foreign Minister to Baghdad and the visit of the Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Mr. Mohammed Al- Halbousi to Moscow. The two sides also stressed the need to finalize agreements and memorandums of understanding between the two countries that are ready for signature as soon as possible.
