Undersecretary for Multilateral and Legal Affairs Receives British Embassy Chargé d’Affaires a.i

Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Multilateral and Legal Affairs Mr. Omer Al Berzanji, received Ms. Rosy Cave Chargé d’Affairs ad interim at the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Iraq, at his office in the Ministry’s headquarters. The meeting discussed strengthening relations between the two friendly countries, and the efforts mad in this regard. Additionally Undersecretary Al Berzanji indicated the importance of developing cooperation frameworks across various fields, noting that the two countries have relations of common interests in several economic, political and strategic fields.

On her part Ms. Cave referred to the ongoing preparations for the visit of Prime Minister Mr. Mohammed Shia Al Sudani, to the United Kingdom, and ways to enhance partnership and cooperation between the two countries. She also extended her thanks and appreciation to the Iraqi Foreign Ministry for the continued support and assistance in overcoming the obstacles facing the embassy in Iraq, and commended the Ministry’s role in enhancing cooperation between the two countries to achieve common goals.
