Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Receives Commander of NATO Mission Lieutenant General Lucas Schreurs, to Discuss Ways to Enhance Cooperation with Mission in Iraq

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, received Lieutenant General Lucas Schreurs, Commander of NATO Mission in Iraq, in his office at the Ministry’s headquarters on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. During the meeting, they reviewed NATO’s efforts and its role in the ongoing cooperation between the Iraqi government and the NATO mission, in addition to ways of developing cooperation within all agreed upon frameworks, especially the active collaboration with the Iraqi Ministry of Defense.

On his part, Minister Fuad Hussein commended the role of the NATO mission in Iraq, and expressed the government’s readiness to provide all facilities that are in the interest of the country.
