Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations Receives Azerbaijani Ambassador to Iraq
Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Bilateral Relations, Mr. Mohammed Hussein Mohammed Bahr Al Ulum, received Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Iraq Nasir Mammadov, at the Ministry’s Headquarters on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. The meeting discussed ways of enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries across various fields. As well the two sides touched on the ongoing preparations for United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29) which will be held next November in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, and the importance of Iraq’s participation.
The two parties also discussed preparations for holding the fourth session of the Iraqi-Azerbaijani Joint Committee, during which a number of memorandums of understanding and agreements will be signed between both countries, they alos discussed cooperation in the field of higher education and the exchange of scholarships and fellowships between the universities of the two countries.
At the end of the meeting Ambassador Mammadov, extended his thanks to Undersecretary Bahr Al Ulum for the warm hospitality. On his part Undersecretary Bahr Al Ulum, praised the efforts of the Ambassador and the Azerbaijani Embassy in Baghdad, Which greatly contributes to strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
