Signing a Memorandum of Understanding Between Foreign Service Institute and China Diplomatic Academy

On Tuesday, June 11, 2024, Iraq and China signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Foreign Service Institute of the Iraqi Foreign Ministry and the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China. This MoU aims to enhance cooperation in the field of diplomatic training, professional development, and communication between the diplomatic services in both countries. The Memorandum was signed on the Iraqi side by the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Beijing, Mr. Shorsh Khaled Saeed, and on the Chinese side by Mr. Wang Fang, President of the Chinese Diplomatic Academy.

This MoU will contribute in enhancing cooperation in several areas, including the exchange of information, research activities, training programs, and specialized courses between the Iraqi Foreign Service Institute and the China Diplomatic Academy. In addition, the memorandum includes teaching languages, exchanging experiences and studies related to foreign affairs in their political, economic, diplomatic, legal, international relations and other aspects.
