Statement

The Foreign Ministry expresses the Republic of Iraq’s welcoming of the decision by the International Court of Justice, which imposed additional measures on the Israeli occupation authority and ordered it to immediately cease the attacks on the Rafah Governorate, based on the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.

 The Ministry reiterates its call for an immediate ceasefire, the protection of civilians, and the necessity of delivering humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people, and calls on the international community to intensify efforts and assume its full responsibility for protecting the rights of the Palestinian people.
