Deputy Chief of Protocol Department Meets with Charge d’affaires of the Finnish Embassy in Baghdad

Deputy Chief of Protocol Department Mr. Mohammad Hisham, met with the Chargé d’affaires of the Finnish Embassy in Baghdad, Ms. Tarja Floods, the two sides discussed the procedures for opening a resident embassy of Finland in Baghdad during this year.

The Deputy chief Protocol Department stressed that Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim gives special attention to countries seeking to open embassies residing in Baghdad because of its profound impact in strengthening relations between Iraq and friendly countries.

Iraq appreciates the decision of the Finnish government to open an embassy in Iraq this year, and the protocol department is ready to overcome all difficulties in this field and facilitate the work of all missions.

At the end of the meeting, the Chargé d’Affaires thanked the Foreign Ministry for the warm welcome and all the facilities provided to facilitate the process of opening a resident Embassy of Finland in Iraq.
