Iraqi Ambassador in Lisbon Meets President of the Assembly of Republic of Portugal

Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Portugal Dr. Adel Mustafa met with the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Portugal, Mr. José Pedro Branco. 

During the meeting, both sides discussed parliamentary relations and ways to improve them through reactivating the Iraqi-Portuguese Parliamentary Friendship Committee, in addition to the importance of exchanging visits between officials of the two countries to strengthen bilateral relations across all fields.

Ambassador Adel Mustafa, praised the democratic experience in Portugal after the elimination of dictatorship and the transition to a democratic system, as it was similar to the experience of Iraq after 2003 and the elimination of the dictatorial regime that was ruling Iraq.
