Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Lisbon Meets Portuguese Minister of Parliamentary Affairs

Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Portugal Dr. Adel Mustafa, met with Portuguese Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. Pedro Duarte in Lisbon. During the meeting, Ambassador Mustafa expressed the Iraqi government’s willingness to develop bilateral relations, and enhance parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, stressing on the necessity of reopening the Portuguese embassy in Baghdad.

On his part, Minister Duarte promised to introduce the matter of reopening the Portuguese embassy in Baghdad on the Portuguese Foreign Minister, Mr. Paulo Rangel, indicating the importance of strengthening relations between Lisbon and Baghdad across various fields.
