Head of Europe Department Receives Greek Ambassador to Iraq

On Wednesday April 17, 2024, Head of the Europe Department Ambassador Haider Al Athari, received the Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to Iraq Mr. Georgios Alamanos, at the Ministry’s headquarters.

During the meeting, they reviewed issues of common concern, including holding the meetings of the Iraqi-Greek Joint Committee, and the necessity of setting dates determined by both sides to convene the meetings due to their importance in developing relations between the two countries, especially after the economic openness and security stability Iraq is witnessing, and the support of the Prime Minister’s government for the private sector, and creating promising investment opportunities in Iraq with the presence of a large number of foreign companies operating there.

On his part, Ambassador Alamanos thanked Ambassador Al Athari, for the cooperation in facilitating the tasks of the mission in Iraq.
