Iraq’s Chargé d’Affaires Meets Brazilian Minister of Labor

The Chargé d’Affaires a.i of the Embassy of the republic of Iraq in Brazil Dr. Firas Hassan Al Hamdani met with Brazilian Minister of Labor and Employment Mr. Luiz Marinho, in the capital Brasilia.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them, in addition to cooperation in the field of investment between Iraq and South American countries in general and Brazil in particular and the economic resources and investment expertise that will be achieved in the livestock sector and manufacturing.

The Chargé d’Affaires a.i, expressed the desire of the Iraqi Agriculture Ministry to extend an invitation to Brazilian investors to invest in Iraq and benefit from their expertise in the field of agriculture, stressing the necessity of accelerating the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the ministries of agriculture of the two countries, which is being finalized, as Iraq is keen to exchange experiences between Baghdad and Brasilia and benefit. from the agricultural investment experience in Brazil.

On his part, Minister Marinho stressed his country’s government’s interest in developing bilateral relations with Iraq across various fields.
