Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations Meets Ambassador of Tajikistan to Iraq

On Monday, March 4,2024, Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations Ambassador Muhammad Hussein Muhammad Bahr Al Ulum, received Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Kuwait and non-resident Ambassador to Iraq Mr. Zubaydzoda Zubaydullo Najot, at the Ministry’s headquarters.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand collaboration frameworks between the two countries in various aspects.

Undersecretary Bahr Al Ulum, affirmed Iraq’s endeavor to develop relations with the countries of Central Asia, considering the common historical, cultural and religious ties between them, indicating that there are great opportunities in Iraq for investment due to the ongoing security and political stability, and one of the most important of them is the strategic Development Road that connects Asia with Europe.

In addition to, the two sides agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding for political consultations, as well signing a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding in various fields in the near future, and encourage mutual high-level visits, stressing the necessity of establishing a joint bilateral committee between the two countries.

On his part, Ambassador Najot underscored the need to continue working for upgrading bilateral ties to achieve the common interests of the two countries. The meeting was attended by the head of Asia and Australia Department, Dr. Hamid Al Jubouri.
