Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Participates in Dialogue Session at Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Presence of Turkish Vice President

On Saturday, February 2, 2024, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein, participated in a dialogue session entitled “International Trade, Connectivity and Interdependence” within the Third Antalya Diplomacy Forum, the Session was attended by the Vice President of Turkey Mr. Cevdet Yilmaz, in addition to a number of fore ministers and a group of experts and specialists in economy.

During the session, Minister Hussein talked about the most important economic challenges facing Iraq and the advances made to get out of the economic isolation that it suffered during the era of the former regime,

and then stating to implement the economic recovery process by reconnecting with the states of the region and the world, indicating the efforts exerted by the current government to diversify sources of income, in addition to the plans of making Iraq a gas exporter in the coming years, emphasizing the need to strengthen the commercial cooperation for Iraq with the states of the world, similarly to neighboring countries which Iraq keeps distinguished economic ties with.
