Iraq’s Ambassador to Paris Attends Inauguration of Baghdad Exhibition at Arab World Institute

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Paris Mr. Wadee Batti, attended the opening of the exhibition Baghdad: A Journey Back to Madinat Al Salam, which was organized by the Arab World Institute in collaboration with Ubisoft Company, the exhibition documents the history of the city in the Abbasid era.

The President of the Institute, Mr. Jack Lang, inaugurated the exhibition with a brief speech about the city of Baghdad and the importance of this exhibition, which presents for the first time in more than twenty years a unique archaeological collection to the public. In addition to, Ambassador Batti delivered a speech in which he reviewed the history of the city of Baghdad and its role as a civilized city, praising the initiative of the Arab World Institute in reviving this role in the memory of the world, adding that the Institute is always keen to shed light on Iraq’s important historical attractions, which reflects the strong relationship and close cooperation between Iraq and the Arab World Institute.
