Head of Europe Department Meets Serbian Chargé d’Affaires in Baghdad

On Tuesday, February 27, 2024, Ambassador Haider Al Athari head of Europe Department, received the Serbian Chargé d’Affaires in Baghdad, Mr. Ivan Samardzic, at the Ministry’s headquarters.

During the meeting, they reviewed the future of bilateral relations between the two countries, and the possibility of developing cooperation in exchanging visits for official delegations, as well as enhancing cooperation in the economy and investment sectors, especially as Iraq attaches great importance to attracting foreign investments, after witnessing security and economic stability, which reflected in the increase in the number of urban projects and the development of infrastructure in the country.

On his part, Mr. Samardzic stressed his country’s keenness to deepening the ties of relations between the two friendly countries, and the embassy’s full readiness to cooperate with the Ministry to consolidate bilateral ties.
