Head of Europe Department Receives Ambassador of Kingdom of Belgium

Ambassador Haider Al Athari head of Europe Department, received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Iraq residing in Amman, Mr. Serge Dickschen, in the presence of the Belgian Consul Mr. Jeroen Pittoors, at the Ministry’s headquarters.

Both sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of developing them, as well as the possibility of opening a resident Belgian embassy in Baghdad, given to the security stability, and other European countries opening resident embassies in Baghdad, they also touched on economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, and regional issues of mutual interest. Ambassador Al Athari stressed the need to stop the war on Gaza and the targeting of civilians and innocent Palestinian people.
