Ambassador of Republic of Iraq Presents Credentials to Governor General of Canada

On Tuesday, February 20, 2024, Ambassador Abdul Rahman Al-Hussaini presented his credentials to the Governor General of Canada Ms. Mary Simon, as Ambassador Extraordinary, Plenipotentiary and Resident of Iraq to Canada.

The Ambassador conveyed the greetings of His Excellency the President of the Republic of Iraq, Dr. Abdul Latif Gamal Rasheed, and his wishes for Canada and its people for further progress and prosperity.

On her part, the Governor General, congratulated Ambassador Al-Hussaini, and asked to convey her greetings and good wishes to His Excellency the President of Iraq, and the Iraqi government and people for continued progress, expressing her wishes to the Ambassador for success in his duties, and for the further development of relations between the two friendly countries, stressing her country’s readiness to provide all support to facilitate his mission.

On his part, the Ambassador expressed his pride in representing Iraq in Canada and his keenness to strengthen and activate bilateral relations in various fields, thus contributing to strengthening the ties of friendship between the two countries.
