Iraq’s Ambassador in Ankara: The Embassy follows Iraqis Affairs, and Spares no Effort to Assist them

Today, February 20, 2024, the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Ankara Majid Al-lachmawi, received the father of the victim Istabraq Zuhair Latif, who died in the Turkish city of Trabzon, in mysterious circumstances that were not disclosed, after listening to her family’s appeal via social media. Ambassador Al-lachmawi, offered his condolences to the victim’s family, stressing that the embassy is following up with the relevant Turkish authorities, through diplomatic channels on the circumstances of the case, and finding out the reasons that led to its occurrence, expressing his complete confidence in Turkish justice in revealing the truth, emphasizing that, the Iraqi embassy in Ankara continues to follows on the issues of Iraqis in Turkey, and will spare no effort to assist them.

The Ambassador also directed the consular section at the embassy to issue a death certificate and facilitate procedures for transporting the body to Iraq through Iraqi Airways flight, which is heading to Baghdad this evening. The family of the deceased appreciated the role of the Iraqi embassy in Ankara, in communicating with them and providing the necessary facilities to transport the body to Iraq.
