Undersecretary for Multilateral and Legal Affairs Receives Assistant Foreign Minister of Kuwait
Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Multilateral and Legal Affairs Mr. Omer Al-Barzanji, received Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait for Prisoners and Missing Persons Affairs Ambassador Rabie Al-Adsani, in his office at the Ministry’s headquarters. During the meeting, they discussed several issues of common interest, relating to the files of the remains of missing Kuwaitis, and the importance of intensifying the efforts exerted by the tripartite Committee and the technical teams in this regard.
Both sides highlighted the distinguished relations between the two brotherly countries, and the keenness of the Iraqi Government, represented by His Excellency the Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, and his deputy, His Excellency the Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, to enhance the prospects for cooperation with the brotherly State of Kuwait, and to provide all necessary facilities to achieve this goal, and meet the requirements of this humanitarian issue based on our Islamic and moral values, considering that Iraq has suffered greatly from the policies of the former regime, and the Iraqi people in various components have been exposed to many brutal crimes of genocide, therefore, it understand the extent of the human suffering to which the families of the victims were exposed in Kuwait.
On his part, Mr. Al-Adsani expressed his appreciation for the stance of the Iraqi government headed by the Prime Minister, and his personal follow-up on these files, due to their special humanitarian nature, expressing his country’s desire for the technical teams to continue their efforts in this regard.
