Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Meets US Assistant Secretary of Defense and Deputy Secretary of Treasury

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein, met on February 17, 2024, with US Assistant Secretary of Defense Ms. Celeste Wallander and the US Department of the Treasury’s Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Mr. Brian Nelson, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference 2024, which is being held in Munich, Germany from 16 to 18 February.

In both meetings they discussed security, economic and financial relations between the two countries, in addition to issues of common interest, stressing upon the importance of achieving development in Iraq, they also touched on international and regional issues, and the importance of stabilizing the region.
