Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Meets French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, met with the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Mr. Stéphane Séjourné, on the margins of the Munich Security Conference 2024, which is being held in Munich, Germany from 16 to 18 February.

During the meeting, Minister Hussein extended his congratulations to his French counterpart on the occasion of assuming the duties of his new position, wishing him success in his work, and expressing his aspiration for joint work in the coming period, to serves the interests of the two friendly countries, in addition to extending an invitation for him to visit Baghdad. Minister Hussein, praised France Stances towards Iraq, and the importance of enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries, especially in the economic and trade aspects.

Both Ministers reviewed the regional and international issues and challenges, in particular the war on Gaza, indicating to the difficult humanitarian situation caused by this war.
