Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Meets European Union Commissioner for Home Affairs

On Saturday, February 17, 2024, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein, met with the European Union Commissioner for Home Affairs Ms. Ylva Johansson, On the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference 2024, which is being held in Munich, Germany from 16 to 18 February.

During the meeting, they discussed Iraq’s relations with the European Union, the prospects of promoting them, and shared issues, as the Minister reviewed the political situation, the government’s Orientation, and regional developments and their impact on Iraq.

On her part, Ms. Johansen indicated the importance of working with the Iraqi government, and thanked Iraq for its cooperation on several files, including the immigration, stressing the importance of continuing communication and meetings between the two parties.
