Permanent Representative of Republic of Iraq in Geneva Meets with Special Rapporteur on Internally Displaced persons

The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Iraq in Geneva Dr. Hussein Mahmoud Al-Khatib met with Ambassador Ms. Cecilia Jimenez-Damary, Special Rapporteur on human rights of internally displaced persons at the Mission’s headquarters upon her request.

The two sides discussed aspects of cooperation between the two sides and the special procedures of the Human Rights Council. The meeting also discussed the issue of internally displaced persons and the governmental and international efforts to provide them with assistance and support.
