Head of America Department Meets Canadian Ambassador to Baghdad

The Head of the American Department, Ambassador Luqman Abdul Raheem Al-Faily met with Canadian Ambassador to Baghdad Mr. Paul Gibbard in the presence of the political adviser at the embassy, ​​Mrs. Catherine Porter at the ministry headquarters.

The meeting dealt with bilateral relations between Iraq and Canada and ways to develop them to the highest levels, and the Canadian support for Iraq and Canada’s participation in the international coalition to defeat Da’esh and its role in the presidency of NATO forces in Iraq, and assistance and programs provided by the Canadian government in support of the stability of Iraq and the return of displaced people to their areas , in addition to discussing the Iraqi community in Canada.

The Canadian Ambassador affirmed Canada’s commitment to Iraq and its desire to expand the activities of the Canadian Embassy and programs in Iraq to enhance cooperation in the military, political, economic and cultural fields.
