Acting Head of International Organizations and Conferences Department Receives Algerian Ambassador to Iraq

The acting Head of the International Organizations and Conferences Department Dr Fadel Alrahim, received the Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to Iraq Mr Jihad Al-Din Belkas, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on a range of issues at the conversation tables in multilateral forums, Dr Alrahim stressed the importance of exchanging visions regarding a number of regional and international issues of common interest, in addition to congratulating Algeria on the start of its term as a non-permanent member in The UN Security Council, indicating the importance of mobilizing efforts to enable Algeria to succeed in achieving the desired ends during its term for 2024-2025.
On his part, Ambassador Belkas expressed his country’s appreciation for Iraq’s political stances and its support for Algeria’s election as UN Security Council non-permanent member‎, stressing his country’s keenness to convey Iraq’s concerns to the Security Council in accordance with Iraq’s national interests.
