Undersecretary for Multilateral and Legal Affairs Meets Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Palestine

Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Multilateral and Legal Affairs Mr. Omer Al-Barzanji, met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine Mr. Riad Al-Malki, on January 19, 2024, on the sidelines of the Ministerial preparatory meeting of the 19th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit, in Uganda’s capital, Kampala, from 17 – 18 January 2024.

During the meeting, they exchanged views on the political situation at the regional and international levels. Mr. Al-Barzanji expressed the depth of the fraternal relations between the Republic of Iraq and the State of Palestine, noting that Iraq has spared no effort in mobilizing all international forums to stop the brutal Occupier aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, and to provide support and assistance to the Palestinian people and their legitimate endeavor to establish their independent state on all their lands.

On his part, Minister Al-Malki expressed his great appreciation for the stance of the Iraqi government and people towards the Palestinian cause and the struggle of its people to establish their independent state.
