Iraq’s Ambassador in Paris Meets French President’s Advisor

Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Paris Dr. Wadih Batti, met with the French President’s advisor on the Middle East and North Africa, Ms. Anne Claire Legendre, on Friday, January 19, 2024, at her Office in Élysée Palace.

During the meeting, they reviewed ways to enhance bilateral relations in various fields, especially in light of the major developments the Iraqi-French relations witnessed, the most important of which was the signing of the strategic partnership between the two friendly countries, which culminated in the visit of His Excellency the Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani, to Paris, in which a number of memorandums of understanding in the economic and cultural fields were signed.
