Foreign Minister Meets Indian State Minister for External Affairs

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim met with Indian State Minister for External Affairs Mr. V. Muraleedharand and discussed ways to enhance strategic cooperation and consultation between Baghdad and Delhi to benefit the two friendly peoples in all fields.
The two Ministers also discussed regional and international issues of mutual concern and ways to deal with the current challenges facing the region.
Minister Alhakim expressed the aspiration of Baghdad for India to play an active role in containing tensions in the region, and to prevent the deterioration of the security situation; because of its influential international status.
