Iraqi Chargé d’affaires in Manila Meets with Members of Iraqi Community in Philippines

In order to communicate with the Iraqi community and provide them with the support they need, Chargé d’affaires, Dr. Khalil Jundi met a group of the Iraqi community in Manila, as well as distinguished businessmen in the field of bringing Filipino workers to the Gulf countries and the Middle East.

The businessmen welcomed this step and expressed their readiness to provide support seeking to lift the ban on Filipino workers to work in Iraq for the purpose of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries as well as achieving economic activity that serves the two friendly countries.

On his part, the Charge d’affaires, Dr. Khalil Jundi said that the embassy is seeking to activate the role of the Iraqi-Philippine Joint Committee and lift the ban on Filipino workers for the purpose of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and opening the way for investors to work in Iraq.
