Foreign Minister Visits the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Cairo
Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim visited the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Cairo on 9/9/2019, and held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Cairo and its representative to the League of Arab States , Dr. Ahmed Nayef Rashid Al-Dulaimi and the Embassy staff.
During the meeting, they reviewed the Iraqi government’s plan regarding cooperation with Arab countries and the importance of activating the files of common interest between Iraq and brotherly countries, especially Egypt.
The Minister affirmed that Egypt is an important and pivotal country for Iraq, and the Iraqi-Egyptian relations are developing continuously and intensively, pointing out that Iraq is willing to strengthen relations with Egypt through exchanging experiences in various political, industrial and construction fields to benefit both countries and out that the Iraqi-Egyptian relations enjoy specialty represented in the size of the Iraqi community in Egypt and cultural and scientific relations in addition to economic files.
Minister Alhakim stressed the importance of the role of the League of Arab states stressing the need to support its efforts in various fields, pointing out that Iraq seeks positive cooperation with the League of Arab states and the member states through a clear Iraqi vision, adding that Iraq wants to leave the time of war, fighting and axes to a time of development, peace, construction and good neighborliness, pointing out that Iraq rejects the existence of the so-called Israel in the Gulf under any name and within any alliance, noting that its presence will be a source of concern in the region.
