Foreign Minister Meets with his Egyptian Counterpart Mr. Sameh Shoukry

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim met with his Egyptian counterpart Mr. Sameh Shoukry on the sidelines of the League of Arab States 152nd ordinary session at the ministerial level.
Minister Alhakim expressed Iraq’s pride in the historical and strategic relations linking Baghdad and Cairo in its political, economic, security and cultural dimensions.
Minister Alhakim praised the consensus of both countries’ views on all regional issues, especially the latest developments, and the importance of exerting efforts to solve the crises faced by some Arab countries, and to strengthen bilateral cooperation in order to maintain stability and avoid any crises in the region, stressing Iraq’s keenness to strengthen consultation with Egypt, believing in its active role in the region.
