Iraqi Ambassador in Cairo Meets Egyptian Minister of Electricity

The  Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Cairo and its representative to the League of Arab States, Dr. Ahmed Nayef Rashid Al-Dulaimi met with the Egyptian Minister of Electricity, Dr. Mohamed Shaker at the latter’s office in Cairo on 2/9/2019.

During the meeting, the Ambassador affirmed the depth of relations between the two brotherly countries, pointing out that Iraq has moved from the stage of fighting terrorism to the stage of construction and infrastructure development, stating that Iraq needs Egyptian expertise in all fields, especially in the field of electric power.

On his part, the Egyptian Minister of Electricity, Dr. Mohamed Shaker affirmed Egypt’s readiness to cooperate with Iraq in all fields, pointing out that Egypt had gone through a crisis in the electric power and was able to overcome it through the establishment of power plants with large capacity, pointing out that Egypt is seriously interested in Electrical interconnection, noting the existence of successful experiences in this field with Saudi Arabia and Cyprus.
