Iraq participated in the 27th session of the Conference of the States Parties to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, which was held in The Hague from 11/28 to 2/12/2022, with a delegation headed by the Permanent Representative of Iraq to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons in The Hague, Ambassador Nizar Al-Khairallah. The organization for the years 2022-2023, the annual report of the organization was approved, and the members of the Executive Council were elected for a period of two years starting from 2023, knowing that the Republic of Iraq is a member of the Executive Council of the organization for the period (2022-2024), and vice-presidents of the Conference of the States Parties were also elected for this In addition to the members of the Accreditation Committee and the Chairman of the Committee of the Whole, it is worth noting that Iraq was elected a member of the Accreditation Committee for this session.
