Ambassador Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Husseini meets with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Ambassador Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Husseini met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Adel Tersnov, on the sidelines of his participation in the 19th round of the Astana talks to discuss the Syrian crisis, which was held in the Kazakhstan capital, for the period from 22-23/11/2022.
The Ambassador pointed out the importance of developing bilateral relations between the Republic of Iraq and the Republic of Kazakhstan at all political, economic, cultural and diplomatic levels in a way that serves the interest of the two friendly peoples, stressing Iraq’s active role in international forums, including the Astana talks to discuss the Syrian crisis, stressing the importance of opening a resident embassy for the Republic of Kazakhstan in Baghdad, in order to strengthen the bonds of bilateral relations.
For his part, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Adel, expressed his sincere gratitude and thanks for Iraq’s active role in the Astana talks, stressing the importance of Iraq for the Republic of Kazakhstan, which are linked by common historical, cultural and religious ties. Stressing the need to strengthen cultural, political and economic relations between the two friendly countries.
The meeting was attended by the Chargé d’Affairs of the Republic of Iraq in Astana, Counselor Mortada Muhammed Mohsen.
