Ambassador Safia Taleb Al-Suhail receives the head of the New Generation Bloc and member of the Iraqi Parliament, Mrs. Sarwa Abdel-Wahed

Ambassador Safia Taleb Al-Suhail, Head of the New Generation bloc and a member of the Iraqi Parliament, welcome Ms. Sarwa Abdel-Wahed. During the meeting, they discussed the importance of enhancing permanent and joint cooperation between the Iraqi Parliament and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in addition to reviewing the most important steps that have been taken to activate consular work at the Ministry’s headquarters and its embassies in Abroad and the certification offices in the governorates, where the Ambassador referred to the Ministry’s effective plan regarding the adoption of the electronic services system and work to open new consular offices in other governorates, stressing the importance of cooperation and coordination between the House of Representatives and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with regard to consular services in particular and following up on the conditions of the expatriates Iraqi students abroad and Iraqi students studying in some countries, by overcoming the obstacles facing their academic path and in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Iraqi cultural attachés.

The Ministry’s procedures were also discussed with regard to following up the conditions of the wounded Iraqis who were injured in the terrorist incident in Istanbul, Turkey, and ensuring the provision of the necessary medical services to them.
