Ambassador Dr Wadee Betti Presents His Credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iraq to the French Republic
On 13/10/2022, Ambassador Dr Petti presented his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iraq to the French Republic to His Excellency President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace with the presence of the French President’s diplomatic advisor and chief of Protocol.
The French President affirmed France’s position in supporting Iraq and its desire to work together to confront the challenges faced by Iraq, in addition to enhancing peace and security in the Middle East, referring to the successful experience of holding the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership in its first round in Baghdad, and the need to hold the second round.
On his part, the Ambassador expressed Iraq’s appreciation of France’s firm and continuous position in supporting Iraq, especially in its war against terrorist and criminal organisations, emphasizing Iraq’s desire to enhance and develop the relations with France in all fields, referring to the complete belief of Iraqis in their democratic system and their ability to succeed in confronting challenges facing it by resorting to the Constitution.
In conclusion, President Macron wished the ambassador success in his tasks, affirming his support for his efforts to realise the best results.
