Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs stresses the need to unify visions to face the challenges that region is witnessing
Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein met today, Saturday, October 29, 2022, with the Lebanese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Abdallah Bou Habib, on the sidelines of his participation in the preparatory foreign ministers meeting for the Council of the League of Arab States at the summit level in its 31st session, which is taking place in Algeria. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between Baghdad and Beirut and ways to advance and develop them. The two ministers discussed the latest developments in joint Arab action and ways to unify visions and concerted efforts to confront the challenges the region is witnessing, and to solve the crises that a number of Arab countries suffer from and that affect the foundations of security and stability in the region. The two sides agreed to continue cooperation and consultation on all issues related to bilateral and Arab affairs. For his part, the Lebanese Foreign Minister congratulated the Minister on the occasion of the formation of the new government, and the renewal of confidence in him as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, stressing his country’s desire to develop bilateral relations and consolidate joint cooperation in a way that achieves prosperity for both brotherly countries.
