Foreign Minister Meets Russian Ambassador to Baghdad Mr. Maxim Maximov

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim met with Russian Ambassador to Baghdad Mr. Maxim Maximov.
Minister Al-Hakim explained that: Iraqi-Russian relations are growing and developing that can be witnessed through the increasing number of Iraqi students studying in Russian universities as a positive indicator of the growing relationship between Baghdad and Moscow.
Minister Alhakim noted that there is political will to develop this relationship and to obtain benefits for both sides at the highest levels.
The Minister pointed out that bilateral cooperation and understanding at the level of the two governments promotes stability in the region, and further strengthens the Iraqi capabilities to maintain stability, and face security threats, calling for the coordination of efforts between the two countries and to work continuously to create new opportunities for cooperation in the interest of both countries to face the challenges of the region.
