The Head of Asia and Australia department meets Chinese Ambassador to Iraq

The head of Asia and Australia department, Mr Haider Radhi Nasir Al-Shimirti has met Mr Cue Wei, Ambassador of the people’s Republic of China to Iraq at the Ministry’s headquarters. During the meeting, the bilateral relations and ways to develop common cooperation on all aspects between the two friendly countries were discussed.  

The head of the department pointed out that Iraq is supporting the fixed positions that emphasize on the principle of One China and the respect for the countries’ sovereignty and the non-interference in internal affairs.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides expressed the importance of enhancing the relations of deep strategic partnership in a way to serve the interests of the two friendly countries.
