Ministry of Foreign Affairs Confirms Completion of All Preparations for Third Meeting of Interfaith Dialogue in Baghdad
On Thursday, 4/8/2022, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Safia Talib Al-Suhail, confirmed that all preparations for holding the third meeting of the Interfaith Dialogue have been completed as scheduled at the end of next October.
This came during a meeting which was held at the Ministry’s headquarters of the Supreme Committee in charge of following up the preparations for the third meeting of the interfaith dialogue between Iraq and the Vatican, with the participation of the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Ambassador Omar Al-Barzanji, with the presence of representatives of the three religious endowments.
The Undersecretary referred to the significant role played by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in coordination between the Religious Endowments, the Pontifical Council for Interfaith Dialogue, the Iraqi Embassy to the Holy See, and the Embassy of the Holy See in Baghdad, to prepare all means that would make the upcoming meeting a success.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its thanks and appreciation to the Religious Endowments, and the Supreme Preparatory Committee of all its members for the diligent effort they had made in preparing the files, dialogue papers, and all requirements for the meeting.
