Ambassador Nizar Al-Khairallah Presents His Credentials as Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Kingdom of the Netherlands
Ambassador Nizar Al-Khairallah has presented his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to His Majesty the King of the Netherlands, Willem Alexander, at the Royal Palace in the Dutch city of the Hague, through royal ceremonies prepared at the palace for this purpose.
Ambassador Al-Khairallah conveyed to His Majesty the King of the Netherlands greetings of His Excellency the President of the Republic of Iraq, Dr Barham Salih, His Excellency Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi and His Excellency Mr Fuad Hussein, Minister of Foreign Affairs, expressing his thanks to the government and people of the Netherlands for their support to Iraq in its war against ISIS through the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) in Iraq, and providing the Iraqi army with military advisors for the purpose of training and building capabilities of the armed forces. His Excellency also conveyed his high appreciation for the Dutch government’s inclusion of Iraq as a country of special interest over the years (2018 to 2021), during this period, investment projects in the agricultural, water, cultural, educational and capacity building fields were achieved, as well as the training courses offered by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with the Clingendael-the Netherlands Institute of International Relations.
On his part, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander congratulated the ambassador on his new position and wished him success in performing his tasks. His Majesty also expressed, through his speech, his vision of Iraq and its importance in the stability and progress of the region.
