Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives American Ambassador on the Occasion of the Conclusion of HIS Diplomatic Tasks in Baghdad
Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Fuad Hussein has received Mr Matthew Tueller, the US ambassador, on the occasion of the conclusion of his diplomatic tasks in Baghdad. During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral relations between Baghdad and Washington over the past period, looking forward to witnessing a qualitative improvement in the interests of the two friendly peoples.
Minister Fuad Hussein wished the Ambassador success in his future diplomatic tasks, calling for the importance of activating the bilateral cooperation to realise the interests of both countries.
The Minister affirmed the need for joint international and regional cooperation to confront the immediate global challenges, most notably the continuation of combating terrorism and extremism, addressing economic fluctuations and health crises, and confronting severe climate changes that pose a threat to all.
On his part, Ambassador of the United States of America, Matthew Toler, affirmed his country’s continuous support to Iraq on various fields, especially in the fight against ISIS and climate change, extending his thanks to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which contributed to the success of his diplomatic task in Baghdad.
