Head of the Department of International Organisations and Conferences Meets Head of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) in Iraq

Dr Abbas Kazem Obaid, Head of the Department of International Organisations and Conferences, has met Mr Giorgi Gigauri, Head of IOM in Iraq, at the Ministry’s headquarters.

During the meeting, they discussed topics and files pursued by the International Organization for Migration in Iraq, and ways of cooperation and technical assistance for the national concerned institutions. The two sides confirmed the importance of international coordination, cooperation and information exchange to find sustainable resolutions and close the file of internally displaced persons.

Mr Georgi Gigauri also emphasized his mission’s commitment to provide all means of support to Iraq in all fields. On his part, the Head of the Department of Organisations thanked the mission for their cooperation and tireless efforts in providing assistance and technical support to Iraq.
