Head of the Department of Asia and Australia Meets Indian Ambassador to Iraq

Head of the Department of Asia and Australia Haider Radhi Nasir al-Shamrti has met the Indian Ambassador to Iraq, Mr Prashant Bisai, at the Ministry’s headquarters.

The two sides confirmed the need to develop the bilateral relations and the mutual keenness to strengthen cooperation in areas and issues of common concern in the interests of the two countries.

The Head of the department expressed his hope to enhance the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries. He also stressed Baghdad’s interest in exchanging visits between officials of the two countries in the framework of enhancing the relations and opening channels for the bilateral cooperation.

On his part, the Indian ambassador expressed his thanks for the good reception and hospitality, as well as the facilities provided to the Indian mission in Iraq, confirming the importance of enhancing the Iraqi-Indian relations in the interests of both countries.
