Undersecretary for Legal Affairs and Multilateral Relations Meets Chairman of the Counter-Terrorism Committee of the Security Council

Dr Qahtan Taha Khalaf, Undersecretary for Legal Affairs and Multilateral Relations, head of the Iraqi delegation participating in the Malaga meeting in Spain on human rights and the role of civil society institutions in combating terrorism, has met the Chairman of the Counter-Terrorism Committee of the Security Council, the Permanent Representative of India and his accompanying team.

The meeting discussed the joint cooperation between Iraq, the Counter-Terrorism Executive Directorate and other relevant United Nations bodies. The two sides stressed the continuation of coordination in the field of capacity building and exchange of experiences.

 Ambassador Hisham al-Alawi, Head of the Department of Human Rights, and Ambassador Muhammad Hussein Bahr al-Ulum, Iraq’s permanent representative to the United Nations in New York have attended the meeting.
