Deputy Head of the Department of Europe Meets Italian Ambassador to Iraq

The Deputy Head of the Department of Europe, Counsellor Muthanna Ali Hussein, has met the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to Iraq, Mr Maurizio Griganti, at the Ministry’s headquarters. During the meeting, they discussed means of developing the bilateral relations between the two countries on the political, economic and cultural fields, and discussed prospects for cooperation through implementing the work of the Iraqi-Italian Joint Committee.

The Deputy Head of the Department of Europe expressed Iraq’s pride in the relations between the Republic of Iraq and the Republic of Italy and the consolidation of the relations for the next stage through exchanging high-level official visits between the two countries and activating the role of the Parliamentary Relations Committee between Iraq and Italy.

 Head of the Department of South Europe, First Secretary, Ahmed Muayyad al-Azzawi has attended the meeting.
