Head of the Department of Arab Affairs Meets Egyptian Ambassador in Baghdad

The Head of the Department of Arab Affairs, Osama Mahdi Ghanem, has met Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Baghdad, Mr Walid Muhammad Ismail.

The two sides discussed the bilateral relations and means of enhancing the prospects for cooperation between Baghdad and Cairo.

The Head of the Department of Arab Affairs affirmed Iraq’s keenness to support the Iraqi-Egyptian relations towards realising a strategic partnership in a way that meets the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples, and realises their common interests to the progress, prosperity and development.

The two sides confirmed the importance of following up all the files between the two brotherly countries, and coordinating in international organisations to unify positions, in addition to discussing the most important international, regional and Arab issues.
