Head of the Department of Protocol meets the Charge d’affaires of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to Baghdad

Acting Head of the Department of Protocol, Dr Ali Shamran Hachim has met the Charge d’affaires of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to Baghdad, Mr Jian Fang Ning.

During the meeting, they have discussed a number of issues and files, particularly opening a General Consulate for the Republic of Iraq in the Chinese city of Guangzhou. The Head of the Department of Protocol has emphasised the importance of the relations between the Republic of Iraq and the People’s Republic of China. He has expressed the readiness of the Department of Protocol to provide all support and facilitations to ensure the success of the task of the Chinese Mission in Iraq in the interests of both peoples.

In return, Mr Jian has expressed his big thanks and appreciation for the good reception, hospitality, and facilitations provided by the Department of Protocol to the Chinese Mission in Baghdad. Assistant Head of the Department of Protocol, Samir Jamal Hasan has attended this meeting.
