Foreign Minister Meets His Jordanian Counterpart Ayman Safadi in Cairo

Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein has met his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi, on the sidelines of his participation in the 157th session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the level of foreign ministers, which was held at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo. The two sides commended the qualitative development in the bilateral relations between Iraq and Jordan in all fields.

They exchanged views and ideas on various files of common interest, as well as ways to enhance the bilateral cooperation at various levels. The meeting has witnessed the affirmation that addressed the challenges of region, requires unifying efforts and joint coordination.

The two sides discussed the ongoing Ukrainian crisis and its repercussions on various political, economic and security levels.

   Dr Ahmed Nayef Rashid Al-Dulaimi, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Cairo, Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, Head of the Arab Department Osama Mahdi Ghanem and embassy staff have attended this meeting.
