Head of the Department of African Affairs meets the Algerian Ambassador to Iraq

    Head of the Department of African Affairs Dr. Fdhil Awad Al Showaily met the Algerian Ambassador to Iraq Mr. Balqasim Mahmoodi at the HQ of the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 8/2/2022. During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations, the mutual diplomatic visits, the bilateral coordination between the two countries, and the candidacy for positions in the International and Regional Organizations and emphasizing security cooperation in combating terrorism.

    On his part, the Algerian Ambassador has welcomed the accession of Iraq as an observer member in the African Union, and he has confirmed that Algeria will be supporter to this proposal.
